Thanks to Izzy and Jed Robertson for a Night of Magic!

How lucky we are to have such a talented bunch of Trustees!

Izzy Robertson is a brilliant fantasy fiction author (Three Words, Dreaming the Moon) a super editor too and a great Trustee; she has a particular specialism of matters literary – no surprises there!

Her son Jed is currently studying music at the University of South Wales and clearly has a bright future ahead of him in his chosen field. He’s an outstanding, multi-talented musician who blends traditional instruments with modern technology to create incredible living sound.

This talented duo put on a terrific night of spoken word entertainment, interlaced with concept album style music and they filled Thorncombe Village Hall to the very edges!

We were lucky enough to have an almost full set of Trustees in attendance: Helen Roberts, Rikey Austin, Chair Simon West and our CEO Tracey West too. We even had our Patron there too.

A wonderful night was had by all and the hearty applause at the end of the evening, spoke volumes.

Cake provided by our lovely Helen and local lady Betty, was thoroughly enjoyed, pots of tea and coffee was consumed and along with ticket sales and the purchase of some of our recycled paper greetings cards, the evening made an absolutely astounding £280!

Izzy kindly popped into the office shortly after the event and presented us with the money and we handed over the satisfying task of filling in the paying in slip!

The money raised that night has been converted into 112 trees that will go on to absorb 28 tonnes of CO2 and other pollutants from the atmosphere – in short, wow!

Thank you Izzy and Jed for putting on a wonderful, magical performance of The Faeries’ Bazaar. We hope you’ll take the advice from the crowd and plan another performance again soon!
