We’re officially excited!
On Saturday 22nd October it’s the third Chard Eco Fayre and we’re hoping it’ll be the best yet! Chard Guildhall will be filled with traders selling a whole smörgåsbord of lovely sustainable, vegan goodies, from sausage rolls to soap, candles to clothing and more besides.
In addition, there will be displays from amazing organisations such as Carymoor, Monkton Wyld, Chardstock Eco Group, Wessex Water and others, who will be showing how people can save money and protect the environment.
We will be holding talks on key issues where the public can learn about everything from electric cars to insulating their homes, along with some short films about nature and climate change.
There will be delicious vegan refreshments available, plus an area of activities where smaller children can play and enjoy themselves.
The event aims to be as inclusive as possible, with free entry and no charge for the talks or films. There’s also a raffle with lots of fabulous prizes, including a Forde Abbey veg box, a gardener’s dream hamper and a short break at the lovely Alpine Grove.
Funds raised are going to support Word Forest and our amazing reforestation, education and women’s empowerment projects in Kenya.
Doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 3 p.m.
